Car enthusiasts and families alike are invited to the Rosseau waterfront on Saturday, August 1, as the annual Rosseau Classic Cruise returns for another year of vehicles, entertainment and community fundraising.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the historic Rosseau waterfront in Seguin Township and is expected to attract between 125 and 150 vehicles. Attendees will have an opportunity to view a wide variety of automobiles, including classic cars, custom builds, muscle cars, modern sports cars and exclusive supercars.

The Rosseau Classic Cruise began in 2007 through the efforts of a dedicated group of community volunteers led by Tony and Bev Hawkrigg. Since then, it has grown into one of the area’s signature summer events.

In addition to the vehicle displays, visitors can enjoy live music, local vendors and a variety of food options throughout the day. Organizers say the event is designed to provide a fun and welcoming experience for the entire family.

The cruise also serves as an important fundraiser for local causes. Admission is by donation, and funds raised are distributed to community organizations and charitable initiatives. Previous beneficiaries have included the Parry Sound Hospital Surgical Suite, Huntsville Hospital Cancer Unit, Parry Sound Harvest Share, the automotive program at Parry Sound High School and accessibility improvements at the Rosseau Fairgrounds.
